IrfaNajwa's Birthday Makan-Makan

Many thanks to those who came, Enon & Family, Mai & Family, Mak Uteh/Pak Uteh & Aizuddin, K.Syaree & Family, Bess & Family, Mawar & Family, Pak Long & Family & P.Shah & Family. Thanks for the presents. The kids love every single thing!!! Thanks for finishing up the food..really...appreciate it. To those who didn't turn up...never mind..I know that if there was nothing urgent that prevents you all from coming, U would be there with us 
So, Najwa is 3 y/o on 26 Jan 2007 and Irfan is 1 y/o on 22 Jan 2007. Hope there will more of your birthdays to be celebrated together in future. Love both of you to the power of infinity.

2007..

First week of 2007:
Well spent at my in-laws house in Alor Setar, Kedah. Took one week off. Went to Penang Island for a day (I so wanted to see what is there that really excites my hubby and few of my friends. Penang best la..interesting la..etc. So we went. Overall experience..okay la. Not too bad. Can't appreciate it enough. Maybe need to arrange for another trip there. So, hubby, that's a hint!).
Irfan was attacked viciously by the Alor Setar mosquitoes. Gangster jugak nyamuk2 kat sana. Pity my polka-dot baby. Why la the nyamuk taknak gigit the abah and Ibu (but I was hoping they will bite abah lah and not me hahahahaha). Guess, darah kami dah tak manis! 
Updates:
Najwa (3 years)
a) Asyik menyanyi je ikut suka hati dia. All the lyrics jadik ntah apa2. eg Lagu "Pencinta wanita by Irwansyah" -- part of the song was actually .. "Aku memang pencinta wanita.." but she sang "Aku memang kencingkan wanita" or at least that was what I heard the countless times she sang that song! Another one Lagu "Mata Hati Jiwa by Awie" -- "....sebelum lena ku..." which comes out as "...siapa nenek aku..." Yea..I know that was so different but I think she thinks she heard what she sang tu lah.. Damn funny!!
b) Nowadays, makan quite a lot. Since she said that she wants to go to school and we said to her that she needs to grow taller, then only she can go to school, she eats better.
Irfan (1 year)
a) He can walk on his own...yeay!!! Memanjat..tu jgn cakap lah. Expert already!
b) Likes whatever kakak is holding. Berebut2 nak benda yang sama. Last2 kakak screams, then adik screams and with both of them screaming... I also scream! Meriah rumah aku! hahahaha...
c) Makan whatever being shoved into his mouth. So, sekarang, he will eat whatever we eat.

Christmas Weekend
|
|
Christmas falls on Monday...so we had a 3 days weekend. Aaaahhh..time to rejuvenate, relax, rest and revitalize. Nothing much happened. Most of the time, we were stuck on the couch watching TV and DVDs while munching chocolates. I was so into chocolates lately. Ooohhh...I am so gonna be a potato couch...a VERY FAT / OBESE potato couch. We'll worry about that later 
On Monday, went to my friend's daughter birthday party at McD, Seksyen 3 (is it? Geography fail lah!!) Shah Alam.
Thanks Mawar and Man for having us. Happy Birthday Alisa. May u have wonderful years to come.

I have been blessed with a pair of kids, a girl and a boy. They were saying that Irfan resembles Najwa so much but I don't really see that. I do not agree. But people keep passing remarks like:
Scene 1
Ms X : Eena, meh bagi budak tu. U pergi makan.
Me : Okay. Here u go...(hand him over to Ms X and he does not refuse)
Ms X : Okay. Good girl..
Me : Er...good BOY!! 
Scene 2
Hubby used our kids raya pic as his computer background/screensaver.
Mr Y : Ha...dah besar nanti, kena jaga betul2 nih...ramai orang kacau nanti
Hubby : Yang mana satu?
Mr Y : Dua-dua lah. Dua2 girl kan??
Hubby : Nope. Yang kecik tu BOY!
There are other few instances where people pass the same remarks. Nak kata I pakaikan my boy, girly stuff with pink laces and ribbons, takde lah pulak. In scene 1, he was wearing some thing like cargo pants and blue, collared t-shirt. 2nd scene, he was actually wearing Baju Melayu in the pic. So, tell me, kat part mana does he look like a girl?

A wedding and days towards the closure of year 2006...
|

My sis wedding went smoothly (And yes, finally, my leave is approved after I was asked to attend a meeting on Friday 30 Nov 2006 started at 5:30pm until 2am -- but I was granted permission to leave at 9pm -- despite I told them that I am heading back to JB that very same night!!!). The akad nikah was held after Isyak 1 Dec 2006 followed with berinai kecil after that. The next day, the kenduri. I was busy helping my aunties prepare the lauk pengantin (tolong sikit je. Bukan masak pun). Then I sambung duty to give bunga telur (in this case is muffins and sweets). 2 of us (my younger sister and I je) jaga the whole dewan. By 3pm, my kaki dah rasa macam jelly. Gila sakit!! But, teruskan jugak lah.. with my duty.
Well, all's well, ends well. May the bride and groom live happily ever after...InsyaAllah..

Back from Raya...started working...and I freaking hate that!!!

Dah balik from happily beraya at my parents house in JB. Resume working. Malasnya. My raya mood is still on. I missed my mom's home cooked food, being with family, just laze around doing nothing.. Bila nak raya lagi nih??
Kids had fun. Najwa sibuk dengan Dania, the cousin. Dok follow wherever and whatever Dania is doing. She is not afraid of sparklers/firecrackers lagi like last time. That's good. Lepas ni, boleh la introduce her to meriam karbaid pulak
I was afraid that Irfan will cling to me the whole week, not used to being around unfamiliar faces. But, I was so wrong!!! 1st day je dia macam tu. After that, he is okay with everyone. The first name in his favourite list is Atuk. Umpan dia, just switch on/off the chandeliar. He will be amazed. Then, layan dia jalan wherever he wants (read: Bahasa budak2nya is "tatih". Hold both his hand and follow je kaki dia nak jalan mana and nak stop mana) Noticed that dia rajin nak belajar jalan. Merata dia berjalan (still holding on to something. Kadang2 nak tunjuk terror, dia lepas la satu tangan) Suruh stand still, boleh la for few seconds. Well, I am preparing myself (build my stamina etc) for the time dia dah boleh jalan. Sure jenuh nak mengejar. One more thing, gigi dia dah tumbuh. selalunya, babies tumbuh gigi depan bawah. But mamat nih, tumbuh gigi atas and taring dulu. Then only nampak another one gigi depan but atas jugak. Apa-apalah, asalkan tumbuh gigi. So, gigi yang visible sekarang ada 2. That is considered fast compared to Najwa. First gigi tumbuh around umur dia 1plus.
Raya ni, my siblings semua balik JB (elder sis arrived 2nd raya). Tak pergi mana2 pun. I duduk rumah je. Sedara mara semua jauh2 (KL and Segamat), so, lepak je lah kat rumah tu. Kuih raya pun, kami yang banyak habiskan. But anyway, we had a blast. Cepatla raya lagi....

Eid al-Mubarak

Well, I felt kinda sad to just abandon this Fotopage. So, maybe I will update a bit here and there. Aidilfitri is coming soon. I have done all my necessary shopping. Will start our journey home (to JB - yup, it's my turn this year. Yippee!!!! Hubby, sabar yea!!) early in the morning, before ayam bangun pun (targeting 4am - let the kidz sleep throughout the journey). So, tomorrow is our turn to bangunkan ayam2 tu pulak. I have packed all our things yesterday night. Balik ni, just a little bit more to pack. Buka puasa pun, beli siap2. No need to mess the dapur.
I can't continue talking about balik kampung ni. I will get over excited until I feel my heart is just gonna explode. No doubt I am working today, but what you see in the office is just my body. My soul and my mind are already in JB.
So, wishing all of my Muslim friends

Ramadhan is here...

Today is the 9th day of Ramadan..sekejap je. Working hours is adjusted so taht we can go back at 5:00 instead of 5:30. Tu pun, I am hoping to go back earlier. Tak sempat. I'll get into 5:20/5:30 commuter, sampai the station at abt 5:45/6:00 pm. Then, we head to Pasar Ramadan (the one near to my auntie's house), survived oceans of people, managed to grab a few dish... singgah my auntie's house, take the kidz and then only we head home. Sampai rumah around 7pm (luckily tak pernah lagi kena berbuka dalam kereta. Remembered one of my friend in UM asking me, "kalau dalam kereta, tiba2 masuk waktu berbuka and there is nothing to eat but we need to berbuka(yeala, kan sunat mempercepatkan berbuka!), what would you do? I can't remember my answer. But his answer is "Kalau aku, aku korek hidung" Eeeeeeiiiiiiwww.. gross la mamat nih!)
N'way, sampai rumah, I still need to masak nasi and re-heat the dish. So, lepas solat baru boleh makan dalam 7:30pm. Tarawih, nope..I skipped that. Reason: my 2 kiddos takde siapa nak jaga. So, hubby je pergi. Malam, at around 10:00 or earlier, I padam already. Luckily, my 2 kidz pun tido awal.
Raya preparation... nothing much for me (baju raya my mom dah belikan and tempahkan 2 pasang. She was waiting for us to beli kain and tempah, but we were so slow in doing that, so, she decided she'd do it herself (cari kain and tempah). Normally, what she choses for anak2 dia macam tau2 je our taste) For kidz, I have bought some baju raya for them but I still need to buy more. I can't resist the urge to shower them with clothes. So, will do that in this 2/3 weeks.

Irfan (7 months)
He can crawl... Yippee!!! He can sit without support and change from meniarap position to sitting position on his own... Kadang2 dia angkat pungg*ng dia so high, nampak macam he is getting himself ready to stand. I guess.. in no time he will be standing (with support la i.e pegang kerusi ke etc). I planned not to use baby walker. Some research said (if I can remember correctly), nanti baby lambat jalan. So, I will banned him from the walker and see whether the research has some basis to it.
Other than that, he is one active baby. Tambah lagi the fact that he can crawl. Merata dia explore every corner. Pakaikan baju/diaper is quite troublesome. He can't sit still for long. He can gelak now. It's quite easy to amuse him, tapi kena overacting la sikit. Suka main kasar2 mamat ni... baby boy memang macam tu kot..
Another thing is that dia suka kacau kakak dia. Tangan cepat je nak mencapai whatever kakak is holding. Menjerit2 kakak ngan adik.
Update: He can stand up on his own while holding on to something i.e sofa etc. Bravo!!! A little bit shaky, but he can stand up like that for quite some time. (Updated 3.9.2006)
Najwa (2 years 7 months)
Kakak... She calls herself Kakak Alia nowadays. I kinda like the sound of that too... So, "kakak Alia" she will be. Kdg2, panggil jugak dia Najwa. Favourite pastime lately, menyanyi. Semua lagu lah dia boleh nyanyi.. Jujur (Radja), Dealova (Once), Teman Tapi Mesra (Ratu) name it.. (Alamak, baru perasan semua lagu dari Seberang.. muahahaha). Tukang ajar dia nyanyi : YOURS TRULY!! Dia dah "cop" Adam AF2. The exact phrase she'll use " Alia suka Adam, Ibu suka Mawi (this is sooooo not true. Dia yg pandai2 cop Mawi for me!!!), Abah suka Awie (this is true..hahahahahahaha..), Irfan suka Siti Nurhaliza" Apa2 lah Kakak.... N'way, suka sgt kacau dia.. Kalau I buat2 merajuk dengan dia, she will always kiss me all over my face sampai la I senyum balik kat dia. Tak sampai hati kdg2 nak merajuk ngan dia but the thought that I will get her kisses makes me menyakat dia even more. Boleh menangis la si kakak ni kalau I merajuk lama2 thinking that I marah dia.
